Peta Dzubiel lives and works in Sydney. In 2006 she completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours at the College of Fine Arts in Paddington. She has since been a finalist of the William Fletcher Travelling Fellowship and the Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship twice and was a Bundanon Trust artist in residence during November 2012. Peta has won the Fisher’s Ghost Prize for traditional painting in 2013 and has paintings in the Bundanon Trust and Cowra Regional Art Gallery collections. Her paintings work with elements of pictorial ambiguity and mystery to explore the landscape and figure/field relationships as a means by which she can express the psychological and metaphysical aspects of ‘Landscape’.
